START Action Teams/Volunteer Opportunities

In order to more effectively deal with the wide range of animal rights issues that we are faced with every day, START has developed eight action teams. Each action team has specific responsibilities that will be carried out by our members. Please read the following short descriptions and call the START line at 314-851-0928 to volunteer for the action team that best fits your skills and enthusiasm!

You can also be added to the START e-mail alert list at no cost to you.  Simply send an e-mail message to the START alert administrator, asking to be added to the list.  You will receive periodic action alerts and event updates.  We do not share addresses with anyone, and you can cancel your subscription at any time.

(There are certain tax benefits for volunteer service. You can deduct the cost of gas and oil that are directly related to getting to the organization where you are a volunteer or you can simply deduct 12 cents for each mile.)
